Phase 1 will define the technical architecture and re-write 3 of the smaller applications as a proof of concept. Depending on the success, there is the possibility to be retained for the remaining 2 year replacement initiative. One position will be considered the lead analyst and assigned some project management duties along with facilitating business process re-engineering sessions. Some of these applications have re-engineering documentation that is up to a year old and needs to be reviewed with the business. The lead analyst needs to have the experience to create the work plan for what needs to be done, create documentation standards, and interface with both the business and technical staff to ensure requirements are appropriately documented and that the technical solution meets the requirements. Experience with agile is desired but not required. The other position would not need project management experience or business process re-engineering experience. This position though does need to be a strong business analyst who can work independently gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements. Experience in mainframe conversions would be beneficial but not required. Knowledge of agile methodologies is desired but not required. Both positions require excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization both in the business and technical departments. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates functional and system requirements to parallel overall business needs. Experienced with business process re-engineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Familiar with industry standards, current and emerging technologies, and business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.. Business Analyst/Consultant capabilities with 8 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Independently, performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
