This person will be responsible for application installation, testing, and documentation for servers in alignment with standard approach. Provides status reporting, infrastructure request deliverables, documentation updates, and testing artifacts in alignment with project standards and schedule commitments. Participates in deployments and troubleshooting of issues related to setup and deployment of servers. The essential duties of this role are to install software components, troubleshoot and deploy servers, and update relevant documentation. Install application components on servers Complete unit testing and/or Installation Qualification testing for new servers in accordance with applicable procedures and processes Participate in deployment of servers into appropriate environments in accordance with standard processes Update design documentation and review to ensure accuracy Troubleshoot issues encountered during server set up and testing Qualifications: Good understanding of concepts and knowledge of industry technologies with relation to server setup and installation of application components. Experience in infrastructure setup and testing. Strong team player, willing and able to support other team members as needed to achieve project goals. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Resource must have knowledge of the following: Expert knowledge of OS setup and configuration on Windows 2008R2 server or later preferred. Basic knowledge of OS setup and configuration on Unix (Solaris preferred) Expert knowledge of multi component application installation on Windows Basic knowledge of application installation on Unix Web server installation and configuration (Apache preferred) Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Share Point Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or relevant work experience. At least 5 years of MS Windows Server systems experience including infrastructure and application installation and setup experience. Experience working in a regulated environment is a plus.
