The Senior Business Analyst will serve as the conduit between the customer community and the Solution Design and development team. The Senior Business Analyst will work collaboratively with the business partners to understand their business requirements and business process, and then translate the process and requirements to software requirements. -Enterprise level business analysis- Finding solutions for the client as a whole and mapping individual line of business process to ensure initiative alignment. As a senior level responsibility, enterprise analysis can also take the form of planning and scoping several inter-related initiatives and helping senior-level business stakeholders to include leading, developing, maintaining requirements matrix for enterprise level initiatives - Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, brainstorming sessions, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints. Write requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language that is simple, clear, and unambiguous. - Decompose high-level business and user requirements into quality functional requirements that are specific to an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who must base their work on the requirements. Define and appropriately document quality attributes acceptance and success criteria, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements. Represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate. - Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, verifiable, and that they conform to standards. Participate in requirements prioritization. Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project. Implement ways to reuse requirements across projects. - Manage changes to base-lined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools. Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirements process. Assist with the development of the organizations requirements engineering policies, procedures, and tools. Collaborate with Software Development team and subject matter experts/business to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs for the solution. - Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents. Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly. Act as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams. - Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Required education and experience: Bachelors degree in business, computer science, information technology or closely related field. Five (5) or more years of relevant work experience in business analysis and requirements gathering. Experience should include a solid understanding of structured system development methodologies and software development life cycle. Experience analyzing COTS products and mapping requirements to COTS products to assess feasibility. Valid drivers license required.
