Please see below: Position: Technical Writer Location: San Antonio, TX Contract Length: One Year with the possibility of extensions Job Description: - The Technical Writer will be responsible for maintaining business process models, maintaining and creating new business procedure documents, performing validation analysis, identifying procedural and control gaps, recommending and implementing solutions. - Process changes may require coordination with line of business, project office, and Process Modeling departments. - Acts as liaison to business lines to ensure new products, services and technological developments are compatible with current processes and designs. - Job will involve technical writing of related procedures and coordination to update current process models. - Develops and leads process design or improvement reviews, annual process and procedure certification, guiding cross functional teams including the business subject matter experts, operational and enterprise risk, technology and other areas. - Has process expertise for multiple business groups and can provide analysis to the most complex and volatile business lines. - Preferred candidates may have certification in Six Sigma methodology or LEAN experience. - Technical Writer will work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors. - Investigates and develops root cause analysis. - Individual will maintain standards for measuring performance against process requirements and be able to identify when new performance measures are needed. - Provides analytical support to research, compile, test, and evaluate process flows and implement improvements. - Provides analytical support to business consultants and/or process design teams that may include developing reporting and analytics to measure performance and program status and progress. Required Experience: - 5+ years related industry experience. - This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. - Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents. - Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively at all levels of the organization. - Ability to successfully work in a rapidly changing environment with multiple priorities. - Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Visio - Understanding of process improvement methodologies, program and/or project management. - 10% travel at times required to operations sites. - A Bachelors Degree and technical writing experience. - Certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma with a familiarity of Minitab or other statistical software. - Previous experience developing and leading process design or improvement initiatives. - Expertise with at least one of the business process mapping and modeling tools currently used including Lombardi, Tibco Business Studio or iGrafx. - A solid understanding of the Mortgage industry, including Default. - Demonstrated knowledge of departmental workflow processes   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
