Job Description Analyst: MS Office, Data Management, Gathering Requirements, IT Organization Management SMEs

Reporting Analyst - w/ Tableau and KPI automation
Horsham, PA (Near Philadelphia)
6+ month Contract

The performance management team is seeking a self-directed, technical and experienced contractor for a unique opportunity to support the teams efforts in maturing IT service reporting through metrics and automation. Baseline metrics are currently established for KPIs and metrics for UHC Insurance Solutions IT. This role will focus on driving the reporting to the next level by assisting in the tracking and setting of target benchmarks for the IT organization, meeting with SMEs to define right-sized targets for selected services, and implement an automated reporting process to streamline reporting efforts for the future.

The individual should be well versed in working with KPI metrics and have extensive background in producing various levels of metrics and reporting. This individual must be able to work with moderate instruction and oversight, and be able to manage delivery of high quality outputs in a dynamic work environment with set deadlines and tight time constraints for reporting deliverables. A desirable candidate will be extremely business/customer focused, having moderate experience with automation of reports within and enterprise organization.

Core responsibilities:
Create an automation process to easily collect data for reporting into the service level reports
Assisting management in the tracking and setting of target benchmarks from existing baseline metrics
Provide analysis of existing metrics and recommend improvements
Assume a role as a SME in regards to enterprise reporting for the IT organization

Success Factors:
Successful target definition and tracking of roughly 40 defined metrics (10 IT service areas)
Gather requirements, analysis and implement an automated process for capturing data and reporting out to reporting tools such as MS Excel, Tableau or Microstrategy
Apply best practices for reporting tools and techniques
Assist in gathering of data from SMEs across the IT organization

Qualifications:
Proficient in MS Office
Proficient in BI reporting tools such as Tableau or Microstrategy
Bachelors degree preferred
2-5 years of work experience in similar reporting and data management roles
2-5 years of automation experience with multiple data sets and formats
3 years of experience gathering requirements
Skilled knowledge of service level metrics and KPI reporting
Ability to facilitate requirement sessions with IT SMEs
A passion for using data to drive better decision making
Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present issues, ideas and recommendations in verbal, written and presentation format
Strong attention to detail
Proven skills working well within a team to learn and share knowledge
Knowledge of ITIL best practices preferred
