St. Louis, MO # of Openings: 1 Subs per opening: 3 High Level Responsibilities: MicroStrategy development · Develop new dashboards from scratch · Build Metrics (Simple / Compound) – understand basic settings (Smart Total, Inner/Outer join, Dynamic aggregation) · Build Cubes/Datasets – understand VLDB settings, view filters, dynamic date options · Understand how MSTR generates SQL – validate against database · Thorough understanding of MicroStrategy schema objects and architecture. · Build Dashboard Objects o Panel stacks / panels – use as info views o Grids / Graphs – formatting options and filtering o Selectors – targeting (filter vs slice) o Text boxes / images – have good eye for placement and alignment o Navigation and Links – best practices for drilling to other objects · Build with performance in mind (not a performance tuning assignment though) o Utilize JPG images in dashboards · Create solutions from either architected or free-form SQL solutions · Develop a single solution for both the iPad and the Web · Debug data issues by directly querying the database and through MicroStrategy · Document technical specs and test cases · Accurately estimate LoEs for development and meet them · Follow solid work habits such as taking notes when getting direction from or asking questions of leads, updating Jira tickets, following standards and style guides, etc. Requirements: · Ideally, 5+ years of MicroStrategy development experience and 2 years of customer facing experience · SQL and Database experience with a major RDBMS (Teradata, Aster, Oracle, SQL Server, etc) o Select statements, different types of joins, common database functions, SQL statement debugging, stored procedures · Capable with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) · Excellent oral and written communication   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
