Candidate must be our W2 Employee. Job Description: Client is partnering with a software giant in Redmond, WA to hire a Quality Engineer to develop automated tests for a Search Engine. This team is responsible for the UX of the search results. As a UX Quality Engineer, you will live on the front end of our products and the features used by millions of people every day. User experience (UX) is at the forefront of how we create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful products that people love. We strive to learn and understand our users needs, behaviors, and emotions to yield insights that inform product strategy and guide the design of the experiences we create. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of writing advanced automated tests, demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Candidates must have prior testing and software development background, with solid experience in developing and maintaining test automation, prior experience in manual testing would be beneficial. You should live and breathe the fundamentals of JavaScript (not just jQuery), CSS, and HTML, and command an impressive portfolio of web technologies new and old - all in order to launch innovative features to a global audience. Responsibilities: Implement web or mobile interfaces using CSS, JavaScript and other Open source libraries Work closely with our PM and design teams to understand and test feature specifications leveraging frameworks (such as ASP.net) and open-source (such as React & React Native) Qualifications: 3+ years of Software Development, Automation or Quality Engineering experience with proficiency in C# 3+ years of experience with web technologies Demonstrated understanding of Quality Management, including testing automation techniques, methodologies, processes, tools, artifacts, and measurements Proficiency in eliciting and documenting requirements and performing quality assurance using AGILE best practices/standards Understanding of MVC architecture Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Razor and CSS Fluency with at least one scripting language such as Python, React or PHP Excellent communicator, capable of building and maintaining relationships with various Microsoft teams BS in CS or EE or Math or Statistics required. Master, PhD or equivalent experience a bonus Preferred Qualifications: Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: React, machine learning, web mining, statistics, and information retrieval.
