Review current architecture and refactor legacy code to meet current design patterns developing the iUS Tax web applications for Idaho. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing software solutions to address complex business issues, and providing technical leadership within the IT department. The ideal applicant will be able to thrive in a highly collaborative workplace and actively engage in the development process. Resumes will be used for initial selection and should articulate the latest software architecture and coding/development experience. Interviews will be scheduled either in person or tele-conference. Agency Expected Deliverables: The contractor will work on-site or remotely under the direction of the IDOL Unemployment IT Manager and will continue the design and architecture of iUS Tax system based on current coding standards as part of the development team. Contractor will attend daily project scrum(s). Assist Business resources with sprint planning and negotiate technical and functional work items. Design and peer reviews will be used to ensure work is of appropriate quality and quantity. Contractor will develop C# code, coded unit tests, and system documentation. Contractor will assist with the implementation and deployment of the software and supporting interface applications. Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) Required knowledge of and at least two years recent experience with: • Experience working on complex software projects • Provide architectural blueprints and technical leadership to our IT team • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform • Collaborate with peer organizations, quality assurance and end users to produce cutting-edge software solutions • Interpret business requirements to articulate the business needs to be addressed • Troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently • C# 7 or later • .Net Core 2.1.3 or later • JavaScript (TypeScript 3.1 or later) • ASPNET Core MVC • WEB API 2 • Entity Framework Core • Git 2.19.0 or later • Azure DEVOPS • OpenAPI (Swagger) • RabbitMQ • T-SQL (MSSQL 2016 or later) Preference will be given to developers with demonstrated knowledge or recent experience in: • Selenium automation • Azure Application Service experience • Kubernetes/Helm Successful candidates will be experienced software architect/developers who have strong, current skills in these architect/development practices/technologies and the ability to be productive using these skills/tools immediately.
