This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures for MySQL to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software. Some of these activities will have to be performed after hours and on weekends to minimize downtime for users. 24/7 on-call duties for production support is required. Familiarity with ServiceNow application or administration is highly desirable. Responsibilities * Installing and configuring database systems, software patches and upgrades for MySQL 5.6x (or higher) on RedHat Linux 5/6 virtual servers. * Implement MySQL High Availability (HA), partitioning and replication features. * Must be able to perform routine database tasks without the need for GUI interface. * Creates and maintains MySQL userids and security roles. * Assists application developers with tuning SQL in applications and Stored Procedures * Controls and monitors disk space allocation for multiple databases. * Provides MySQL DBA support and problem resolution support for developers. * Creates, loads, and refreshes databases for testing. * Position requires strong oral and written communications skills. * Position requires strong RedHat Linux skill set. * Candidates must be willing to work weekends and other non-standard shifts. * Experience supporting the ServiceNow application is a plus.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
