This position is responsible for the evaluation and selection of the team, work assignment and supervision of the team and act as the technical mentor for the team. This position is responsible for developing the detailed project plan, work breakdown structures, project checklists, staffing plan & budgets to meet established time frames. The position will coordinate project activities for adherence to project plan & goals; monitor results against established timelines, deliverables, tasks, dependencies & associated technical specifications; prepare comprehensive supporting plans in the areas of quality control, risk management, change management, testing & other associated project management areas; manage project development process to include monitoring project scope & change control processes; perform work in association with industry recognized standards, guidelines & practices; and responsible for adhering to established policy and procedures with respect to project management methodology, quality assurance & other related standards. This position will provide the project status reporting to the state & federal stakeholders and management as required and responsible for the vendor management. Provide technical guidance to the team. Candidate will also coordinate with various stakeholders and team members to discuss alternative solutions by actively contributing suggestions and sharing information. Participation in various work groups/discussions will be required. Required Skills: • Prior experience in managing projects in Medicaid and/or other healthcare payor systems preferably in MSIS, T-MSIS projects • Minimum of 7 years of extensive hands-on experience with technical project management as the project lead with full accountability and financial responsibilities • Experience in resource management • Ability to translate and communicate technical concepts, information, plans, and procedures to both technical personnel and non-IT business users • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, management, end users, and project team members • Ability to interact effectively with technical personnel and with a wide variety of technical resources • Technical hands-on expertise in Data warehouse, BI Reporting and Analytics with technologies such as Base SAS and tools , Cognos, Oracle, FTP methodologies , data extraction • Presentation and Training skills • Technical writing/Documentation skills • Excellent written and oral communication, interviewing, interpersonal skills • Possess people management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills • Vendor and Contract management • Experience working with and preparing procurement documentation and managing project vendors • Knowledge of Project Management processes, procedures, documentation, and reporting criteria • Knowledge and demonstrated ability to conduct detailed planning, perform risk assessments and their associated risk mitigation actions; and knowledge of related IT standards and software Desired Skills: • PMP/ITIL • Experience with Federal, State Health Care or Financial environment, Government   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
