Job Description : Data Governance Analyst 12+ Month Contract Des Moines, IA This role will augment staff for our application team partners to help them reach their Enterprise Data Governance compliance. The consultant will be doing one of two functions based on experience and background. 1) Completing business data dictionaries (metadata) primarily in excel spreadsheets, some of which may be quite complex. We have roughly 300 applications that this will need to go through validation of whether a data dictionary exists. When it does not, or does not meet the policy compliance, the contractor will need to ensure completion and validate results with their assigned domain manager. Experience in completing metadata and/or data traceability is required. 2) Assessing that data quality measures adequately meet the Enterprise Data Governance compliance expectations. The contractor does not need to write data quality rules or implement higher standards. Only assess the current measures in place. A background in data quality, metadata, and/or data governance is required Background of team Team ramping up support, enterprise data governance work Getting those apps into compliance Standard, tactical, strategic (tactical or critical) his team focuses on getting them in to compliance Create data dictionary, quality assessment of all those Completed 60 last year, tackle 200-300 app this year, expand and grown 220 apps added in 2020 Implement recertification process, Privacy initiative- have to go through every app, 6000+ privacy data, being stored appropriate assessments DQ (data quality) assessment- Logistically- moving along here, successful, setting up blocks of interviews, 3 hour block, run candidates through 15 minutes at a time, able to make determination on which ones we want to rbing in What we are looking for: #1 understand and communication skills huge #2 work with other groups and partners, facilitate Meetings with app wonders, complete DQ assessments facilitate that dialogue Data quality and data dictionaries- dont have to be expert- just know why its important and understand conceptually Data quality concepts Verse testing most candidates are confused Implementation controls, data controls on resume is great NOT TESTING- data quality in those concepts understanding ilitate meetings, actually helping out with data dictionary, not responsible for the content, just getting into template and correct format QC process that facilitates approvals and sign offs Will give us the ability to do initial screening (15 minutes are you a fit?)- sell your self Opportunity to convert- army of folks will go FTE, to support this on going Engaging a handful of vendors they are working with, first round, how it goes that first round Coordinate in blocks- do all onboarding in groups Training class type style the first week, come in and do the onboarding   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
