These positions will be performing those services including: • General system/service reconnaissance activities • System/service fingerprinting and identification • Identifying and validating system/service vulnerabilities • Attempting to exploit vulnerabilities to support identification and development of risk profiling and rating of vulnerabilities and threats • Create detailed documentation, timelines and rules-of-engagement artifacts for all testing • Create detailed remediation plans and risk mitigation strategies for vulnerabilities to be incorporated into agency procedures • Create and present reports and other artifacts (as well as presentations and training materials) on the vulnerability assessment and penetration testing processes and routines to support Agency, State and Federal security and privacy compliance goals and requirements Role Summary/Purpose The Consultant will work directly for the Director of Information Security to determine weekly penetration test and vulnerability assessment objectives. Various application and server environment, social engineering and phishing campaigns will be performed during the engagement. We are looking for candidates who are highly organized, can work independently in a fast-paced environment and produce multiple quality deliverables within defined deadlines. Candidates should be self-starters and creative problem solvers and have the flexibility to learn new products and technologies quickly. Essential Responsibilities 1. Strong understanding of the Ethical Hacker processes and procedures in a high security environment. 2. Minimum of 5 years performing Ethical Hacker/Red Team/penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. 3. Understanding of Continuous Monitoring and Incident Response processes and procedures in a high security environment a. Expert level experience working with tools such as; Tenable Nessus, Saint, Cobalt Strike, Acunetix, MetaSploit, Burp Suite, Splunk, QRadar, etc. 4. Organize and write supporting documents/artifacts describing penetration testing and vulnerability assessment activities (including detailed rules-of-engagement documents and step-by-step procedures) 5. Create documentation on specific remediation steps to close vulnerabilities or mitigate risk to acceptable levels 6. Create documentation that can readily to be added to Agency procedures 7. Revise documents and artifacts as tactics and technics evolve to address new and emergent threats and trends 8.
