Complete Description: Hardware and Software Plan, implement and upgrade the virtualization hardware and software infrastructure for use within the N-Tier environment and MDOP developer environment. Assist in upgrading the hardware and software configuration for the DHS Windows 2000 and 2003 mulit-forest Active Directory environment. Configure server security (lock down) Assist in upgrading the backup / restore environment for servers, directories and files. Assist in documenting the hardware and software environments. Continue to review, and assist in planning and implementing the new standard server hardware into the Active Directory environment; and apply access controls and implement management tools. Infrastructure Environment Assist in reviewing, planning and implementing the Backup & Disaster Recovery Environment Plan, implement and configure the virtualization infrastructure. Assist in planning and implementing the DHS SCCM and MDOP environment. Provide assistance in transitioning applications into the virtualization infrastructure. Multi-Forest Active Directory Assist in upgrading the agencys Windows 2003 Active Directory environment; and apply access controls, other security safeguards and implement management tools. Assist in documenting the Active Directory environment. Assist in reviewing, planning and implementing the Backup & Disaster Recovery Environment Upgrade the Active Directory environment.
