Job Description Developer: Desktop Support, SQL, Microstrategy, ETL Oracle 10g SDLC

[Note : Client is looking for EAD/GC candidates only that are willing to go perm. after 6 months]

MicroStrategy Developer, Skill-Set/Responsibilities:

· Design, Develop, Test and Implement MicroStrategy Reports, Reports Objects, Dashboards and Report Services documents

· Help in architecting, administering, and maintaining the MicroStrategy Projects

· Help with migration of reports from existing Cognos environment to MicroStrategy environment

· Help with optimizing report SQL using VLDB settings

· Document report designs and approach

· Familiarity with MicroStrategy Administrative tasks, governing, tweaking settings on I server for optimal performance, Web Administration Settings.

· Strong Hands-on experience using MicroStrategy Suite of products, preferably MicroStrategy 8.x (At least 5 years) i.e.,
o Desktop
o Enterprise Manager
o Command Manager
o Object Manager
o Intelligence Server
o Web Server

· Good understanding of dimensional modeling and Star Schema models

· Good database experience, particularly Oracle 10g is a plus

· Good ETL experience, particularly Informatica 8.x is a plus

· Experience installing MicroStrategy in a Unix environment is a plus

· Prior Cognos experience is a plus

· Strong data analysis and analytical skills

· Knowledge of the SDLC processes

· Team player and capability to work in a dynamic environment
