Combine multiple technologies to provide alternative solutions. - Determine technical requirements, develops technical user stories and software requirements specifications that serve as the build-to specification for development - Apply, as appropriate, transaction/workflow analysis, internal control and risk analysis and modern business methods. - Review and prepare system documents and technical specifications - Prepare reports, studies, and documentation, delivers presentations, and participates in meetings. Provide technical direction to development teams. - Production support maintenance and new development of the middleware systems and ESB components - Interact with Application Support and coordinate any patch and code deployments with System Administration teams. - Understand the various types of tools and technologies on the market and their appropriate usage. Skills and Knowledge: - 5+ Experience with design and development of middleware software including: shared application services, database services, security, networking, etc - 5+ years of proficiency in Java and web development. Must be proficient in following: Java 1.6+, Spring, HTML, Oracle 11g, JDBC, J2EE HTTP(S)/SOAP/WSDL, Web Services Interoperability and Standards, MQ/JMS, FTP/SFTP - 3+ years of experience in a Service Oriented Architecture based projects - Broad knowledge of software technologies utilized in IT application development in the insurance field: - 3+ years of knowledge in Enterprise Service Bus technologies and Web services is mandatory - knowledge in IBM Datapower XI50/XI52 is a huge plus - knowledge in Acord framework is a big plus - knowledge in security technologies including security tools/protocols and LDAP epositories is a big plus - knowledge in Data warehousing technologies, ETL technologies, and Business Intelligence tools is a plus - Knowledge in architecture frameworks and architecture modeling tools is a big plus. - Experience in technology product evaluation and selection, including both software and hardware technologies. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to create and deliver technical presentations to technical teams and Business partners. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
