Job Description Developer: Ticketing Systems, Monitoring, Software Development, .NET Log4j ESB MSMQ Cruise Control

** Only W2 Employee - No Subcontracting

** Can submit only Green Card and Citizens

** Can submit at higher rate

*** Over Time is paid at 1.420 times
OT - Extra Hours on Weekdays and Saturdays

*** Double Time is paid at 2.0 times
DT - Hours worked on Sundays



Candidate and Job Summary:
Ideal candidate will be well-organized and detail-oriented with strong abilities in problem solving as well as oral and written communication. Ideal candidate will have both breadth and depth of knowledge sufficient to allow them to be a self starter requiring very little detailed directions. Ideal candidate will also be able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment and open to learning third party development tools. The position is on the production application support team. It involves troubleshooting and supporting current infrastructure. Support ranges from recovering the system from an outage, recovering missing artifacts (files etc) and taking measures to keep the system up and running at all times.

This position will involve some coding mainly related to bug fixes and internal utilities. Prior support knowledge is a plus.
Be able to effectively work the incident ticket queue paying attention to shifting priorities.
Be able to immediately provide status on ticket at hand including but not limited to upper management, internal customers including other departments like Operations Monitoring and National Support Center.
Be able to provide status on current work on a predefined (at least daily) schedule.
Support at least twice-a-month on-call rotation where the following is required:
Be able to respond to all Severity 1 and Severity 2 tickets.
Reply with an “I-got-it” message to support manager.
Be able to work with other departments like the Monitoring group to resolve issue.
Be able to provide a final status of the ticket via email.
Be able to close the incident with necessary notes and impact analysis.
Be prepared to spend extra hours when dealing with a high volume or high priority tickets. This may happen several times a week including at least one weekend per month.
Be able to document the steps taken from any incident and handoff (with minimal training) to Operations Monitoring group.
Provide development effort estimations.
Code and implement solutions based on the detail design specifications
Adhere to the Fiserv:EPS coding Standards
Provide mentoring to other developers on cross-training efforts.
Communicate effectively with several technical and non-technical groups internally.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in enterprise software development
Minimum 3 years experience .NET based development
Experience in all phases of software development life cycle
Ability to work independently and in groups
Prefer experience with Web Services (.NET)
Prefer solid knowledge of MS SQL Server
Experience with Tomcat, Log4J, .NET CLR 3.0, Continuous Integration, Genesys platform, VoiceObjects, Actuate, Sonic ESB, MSMQ, Cruise Control, Perforce and Visual Source Safe is beneficial
Previous experience with on-demand implementation a plus
