The team is responsible for providing administration, technical solutions, critical incident management and daily operational support to global application and infrastructure groups. This individual will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining various monitoring systems to enable proactive management for internal and external applications. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about their job and has the technical expertise to succeed. Responsibilities: • Participating in the design, configuration, development, integration, testing, implementation, documentation and support of infrastructure Monitoring environments. • Participate in the management of Infrastructure Monitoring services through a deep understanding of the primary Manager of Manager application and its requirements. • Work with various infrastructure teams to develop, apply and support monitors, including trouble ticket automation, for processes, tools and environments. • The Monitoring Engineer will be responsible for the review of all application \ infrastructure monitors, ensuring high quality and timely alerts and notifications. • Oversees the health of the monitoring environment by keeping current with upgrades and patches and by troubleshooting and resolving issues with associated tools. • Serves as subject matter expert in tools using logging, real user monitoring and network performance monitoring. • Mentors junior level technical staff within the functional monitoring area of the IT organization. • Leads troubleshooting, analysis and solution of unexpected systems behaviors that impact the quality of service. • Develops, implements and executes test plans for new and existing features. • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent. Understanding Of: • Infrastructure components (e.g. VMs, Servers, Routers, Network Switches, Accelerators, etc.) • Proven Diagnosis and Tuning experience, with Applications or Infrastructure Components Exposure to / Plus: • InCharge • Moogsoft • Windows \ Linux \ Solaris operating systems and platform monitoring systems Qualifications / Skills: • 5+ years in an IT Infrastructure Engineering Role • 3+ years of (Smarts \ EMC \ Dell) InCharge experience • 1+ year of MoogSoft \ AIOps experience. • Proven quick self-directed learner • Writes scripts (shell, bash, perl, etc.) to execute monitoring tasks that are out of scope (but within the capabilities of the monitoring systems). • Good communication – written \ verbal - skills • Team Player   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
