Must have extensive knowledge of XML editing and testing. Successful candidates will demonstrate the following skills: - Experience in systems testing, including test case and scenario creation through test execution and validation of expected results Job Qualifications: (below are minimums - varies depending on job level) - 5+ years experience in testing complex systems. - Ability to learn quickly and be held accountable for a testable object including development and creation of test cases, test data, test execution plan, defect management/issues resolution and deployment of testable object to the next phase of test. - Ability to communicate both through written and verbal avenues to various levels of the organizational structure including business and technical teams, demonstrated ability to use these avenues to resolve issues. - Ability to receive defects or issues from other testing sources, review or recreate these issues, track with necessary resource and ultimately see the issue through to resolution. Preferred Qualifications: - Testing experience with XML and using XML tools such as XML Spy, specifically in creation of test data. - Demonstrated technical testing capabilities with regard to coverage, troubleshooting and resolution. - Experience in testing with diversified exposure in both Manual and Automated Testing. - Experience Testing and Software Life Cycle by using tools ClearQuest, JIRA, or Rational Robot and other Rational Products - Extensive working experience on functionality, unit Testing, Regression Testing. - Have strong interpersonal communication skills and experience using a variety of protocols to communicate status/updates or escalation. - Experience and demonstrated interaction with developers, managers and team members including business team during all phases of testing. - Experience in knowledge-based / rule-based system support using commercial knowledge-based systems environments such as Blaze Advisor, ArtEnterprise or ILOG Jrules - Experienced in Developing Test plans, Test Cases (Manual / Automated), Test procedures, Test Scripts and expected results. - Used various defect tracking tools for reporting the modification requests and tracking them to completion. - Total exposure and experience in every phase of Software Development. Acts as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff.
