Role Description As a business analyst in risk technology you will engage with senior market risk and front office stakeholders, as well as with technology leads within markets technology and beyond. Your responsibility will cover: - Engage with risk managers, operations and front office staff to understand and document their requirements, and to distill requirements into actionable technology deliverables - Challenge stakeholders on the business case for their requirements to ensure proper prioritization of each requirement - Assess business requirements in the context of strategic deliverables and initiatives - Support projects from inception to execution, by clarifying and negotiating requirements as the understanding of project evolves - Break down barriers to success, escalate appropriately to senior technology and business leadership and work collaboratively with your peers - Ensure that business outcomes are achieved and that full stakeholder buy-in is ensured BNY Mellon has made a strategic investment in Murex Risk technology; solid knowledge of Murex configuration will be of benefit. Key projects in 2017 and 2018 include significant expansion and re-engineering in VaR, Counterparty Risk, Front Office, Risk based Margining and Front Office risk management. Business areas include FICC cash and derivatives trading, Equity Derivatives and a significant, market leading securities finance and repo business. Skills and Qualifications - Experience with Murex a considerable benefit but not requirement - Solid risk knowledge across market and counterparty risk - Experience in cross functional project delivery across technology, market risk, - Technical acumen – ability to equally work with software engineers and risk managers Bachelors degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred 10-12 years of experience in providing consulting advice to senior IT and business management required.
