Work as part of a team that provides delivery support for storage systems and requirements in the Corporate Datacenter. The Storage team is also responsible for provisioning, communicating to management the operational status of the storage environment including performance, capacity, availability, and other performance metrics. As a Network Attached Storage\ Distributed Storage Engineer you are responsible for provisioning new and existing storage, analysis, proactive troubleshooting and capacity planning for the NAS\SAN environment. Your specific areas of responsibilities include: * Perform provisioning of new and existing storage of all storage environment. * Should have extensive experience on NetApp NAS implementation, configuration and Troubleshooting * SAN Storage skillset with experience designing, building & supporting EMC & Hitachi SAN products * Fabric skillset with experience supporting both Cisco and Brocade network infrastructure devices * Provide capacity planning, provisioning and evaluation of data layout on a daily basis. * Update process documentation and team websites. * Ensure documentation of entire NAS\SAN environment and data replication relationships are current. * Work with team on review of entire environment and executing initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance. * Communicate with internal customers, peers, and managers regarding storage administration issues. * Work with team on maintenance of environment. * Provide instructions and guidance on best practices to junior members of the team. * Use scripting languages to automate tasks and gather data. WHAT DO YOU NEED? * Knowledge of Solaris, Redhat and Windows operating systems. * Lun Management, Monitoring and Replication using Unisphere, FilerView or Command Line * NFS/ CIFS/ ISCSI, quota management experience * Should have extensive experience on NetApp NAS implementation, configuration and Troubleshooting. Experience -with EMC VMAX provisioning and troubleshooting.
