Job Description: Develops tools and applications for extremely complex computer network security/protection technologies for company information and network systems/applications. Develops security solutions for the companys assets, application systems, authentication and directory services to ensure the security of the network and confidential data. Creates solutions to identify emergent vulnerabilities, evaluates associated risks and threats, and designs network vulnerability scans to identify security vulnerabilities and provides remediation alternatives to the customer. Leads security risk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and adherence to best practices. Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Document and demonstrate solutions by writing documentation, diagrams and code comments. Bringing data files into the application database and then developing reports through the applications front end for customers. Analyze the data and the existing stored procedures and tables. Minimum Qualifications: SQL – The candidate will need a strong background in SQL. Adept at writing relational database queries and stored procedures (especially with regards to Microsoft SQL Server), with experience in query optimization and performance tuning Understanding of outer joins The candidate will also need to review the SQL used by our team. The candidate might also be querying the database tables. Simple network troubleshooting experience. They may be pinging servers to see if theyre online and/or reachable by the source machine. Theyll need to understand that host firewalls are often configured to block ping requests and that other methods might be required to determine if a machine is online(RDP attempts or telnet attempts for example). They may be remotely querying the domain of the server via the nbtstat windows command line utility. Active Directory experience Theyll need to possess a high level understanding of Active Directory. Familiarity with the .NET Active Directory APIs and/or libraries. Experience developing applications for a large user base. Fluent in Programming languages to include: MS Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#, Java, HTML, jQuery/Javascript, UNIX Shell scripting Familiarization with the following Network Protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, NDM, SSL Platform familiarization with Microsoft, UNIX, LINUX, Mac Candidate must have knowledge of secure coding practices and application security Strong communication skills The candidate will need to be able to effectively communicate with various parties (the project managers, firewall engineers, our team, and various other engineers). Exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Advanced problem solving skills, ability to develop effective long-term solutions to complex problems. Attentive to details, ability to take initiative and work independently. Motivated Team-Player.
