Job Description Consultant: C#, .NET FRAMEWORK, Automated Testing, Relational Database Experience Windows M

[Note : Candidates must be able to travel for a face to face interview and also relocate if necessary without monetary assistance]


Client is looking for a .Net developer who can perform analysis, development, testing, and create documentation for application projects and/or support and enhancement requests. This person will either function as a member of a project development team or Support team making minor modifications and providing support for our clients business systems.

Responsibilities:

· Participate in the review and analysis of business requirements and the design of solutions for new applications.

· Develop work estimates for projects.

· Perform support and development activities for applications and/or projects assigned to the team.

· Document application and system specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.

· Identify and evaluate vendor software and integration strategies.

· Develop and code applications to specification.

· Identify and implement appropriate testing strategy.

· Execute all steps required to deploy/implement the application solution.

· Participate in a self directed team environment. Collaborate with project team members and QA on development, customer issues, and security requirements.

· Off-hours work will be required as business demands dictate.

· Carry and/or respond to cell phone calls for off-hours to fix application problems.

· Some travel may be required.

Qualifications:

· Bachelors degree in CS, MIS, or technical area or the equivalent combination of education and experience

· 7+ years professional experience in IT solutions development preferably in a medium to large corporate environment

· 7+ years experience with C# and the .Net frameworks

· 2+ years experience with Windows Mobile platform

· Experience with native function calls through PInvoke.

· Experience automating unit and integration tests.

· Familiarity with MSBuild and Nant.

· Relational database skills.

· Experience with project life cycle methodologies.

· Ability to troubleshoot problems.

· Ability to exercise good judgment, decision making and creativity.

· Ability to readily grasp complex architectural environments.

· Ability to work from general direction in the development of detailed solutions.

· Must enjoy assisting others in supporting project needs.

· Good organizational skills.



Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

· Agile development experience

· Experience with TIBCO.

· Distributed platform development (Java, JavaScript and JSP with Struts HTML).

· Familiarity with XML and web services.

· Solid understanding of source control (SVN, CVS, etc?) including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.

· Experience using Mercury testing tools (i.e. TestDirector, Quicktest and LoadRunner).
