First and foremost, our candidate will be well spoken, a team play, and the type that will do whatever it takes to get the job done and done well. Strong verbal/written communication skills are mandatory for this opportunity. In this role, our Network Monitoring Analyst will possess experienced in the following: Monitoring WAN using established network monitoring tools (currently using NetCool); Experienced working within a NOC environment; Experienced working with Remedy or similar ticketing systems; Working knowledge of Windows Server and DNS/DHCP; Installing and configuring network components (routers, switches, cables, telecommunications equipment); Comfortable resolving low to mid-level alerts and utilizing appropriate diagnostic procedures and tools; Interfacing with users, other teams and service providers to resolve problems, perform day-to-day operational tasks, and investigate new technologies and services; Maintaining equipment inventory records, network problem records and network topology documentation; May be required to perform shift work and/or may be required for on-call coverage and/or after-hours support; Technical knowledge in multiple areas of networking, such as network infrastructure, data communications and protocols, remote access, security, and messaging; and Established experience in the operation, administration and maintenance of enterprise networks and/or server environments.
