Typical Day in The Role: This person should be a quick learner Back end and front-end work on full stack 70% of time it will be front-end This person should be flexible and able to catch up quickly Lots of projects going on at one time so the person needs to be fluid and be comfortable with that ambiguity when project priorities change Requirements: Basic Qualifications * 6-8 years of professional industry experience in software development * Experience in human-centered and agile design & development practices * Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or related coursework * Building customer-facing frontend experiences; building, developing, and integrating backend systems, design and developing APIs for external consumption * Research & development in new technologies & problem spaces * Driving value quickly through rapid iteration and prototyping * Understanding business processes, priorities and roadmaps. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Strong coding abilities and experience in a suitable programming language for rapid prototyping, like Python, JavaScript (Node), Go, etc * Experience with cloud-based services and the infrastructure supporting them (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc) * Has operated within agile and human-centered design methodologies like Design Thinking * Comfortable hacking at the bottom of the stack (like integrating our internal services or experimental new APIs) just as much as the top (like creating functional, tappable, customer-facing prototypes) * Thrives in the act of discovery, identifying problem spaces and opportunities for innovation, asking the right questions and communicating effectively with stakeholders * Ability to assess current capabilities across our technology stack, using them where necessary without rebuilding perfectly good wheels * Ability to provide technical insight and guidance for projects across a full technology stack * A relentless customer-first mindset and a collaborative nature * Experience with analytics tools and how to use data to drive your decision making * Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment * Strong research & experimentation skills * Strong self-accountability, project management, and task management skills Nice To Have * Experience with machine learning, vision & object recognition, neural networks * Experience with BLE, beacons, NFC, RFID, and IoT technologies * Experience with A/B testing tools and methodologies * Experience with teaching, coaching, and/or mentorship of other engineers   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
