This position coordinates most aspects of a four-year grant from the US Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration for Youth Apprenticeship Readiness. The Council is the statewide administrator and fiscal agent of this grant and Idaho Business for Education is the primary sub recipient. This position reports to the Executive Director. Some in-state travel is required, along with 1-2 trips to Washington DC during the grant period. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: • Grant coordination for the Youth Apprenticeship Readiness grant. • Ensure compliance with all related federal grant requirements. • Coordinate fulfillment of all grant requirements with the grant partners including Idaho Business for Education, the State Board of Education, Idaho Career & Technical Education, the STEM Action Center, the International Rescue Committee, and employer partners. • Manage day-to-day operations of the grant. • Coordinate grant budget and timelines. • Execute the grant work plan to attain outcome measures in accordance with the Statement of Work and budget narrative. • Identify and implement a system to collect and track participant information to support performance metrics and ensure proper reporting. • Prepare and file all required federal reports in a timely manner. • Coordinate all sub awards and ensure compliance prior to reimbursements. • Perform annual risk assessment of grant sub recipients. • Communicate frequently with sub recipients for grant monitoring and support. • Provide training and support to grant partners and sub recipients as needed. • Remain current with related federal grant requirements. • Independently research best practices for youth apprenticeship and share with grant partners. • Drive collaboration among grant partners and other entities who can support success of project. • Work directly with federal project officer. • Work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines with sound judgment and discretion. • Maintain positive, supportive, respectful relationships with colleagues and partners. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Extensive knowledge and experience with federal grant administration including audits. • Excellent data analysis skills and experience; including implementation of systems to manage performance. • Possess strong collaborative skills; written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to make appropriate decisions in a timely and effective manner. • Ability to problem-solve consistent with state and federal rules, and within the Councils mission, values, policies, and procedures.
