DCF does not pay for travel time or reimburse for travel expenses Description: This DCF Database Administrators primary responsibility will be for the Oracle administration and support of our existing Data Warehouse and OLTP environments for the Business Intelligence and Application Development sections. The DBA will collaborate with programmers and analysts to implement and validate changes to database schemas and supporting environments. The DBA must have experience with Oracle Database management tools such as OEM, SQLPlus, and SQL developer. This role requires interaction with a cross-functional team. These teams may be comprised of people from other State Departments with various levels of Oracle knowledge and experience. The teams may include Technical Administrators or business professionals from program areas, infrastructure, application development, or 3rd party Vendors. The candidate will be responsible to ensure that solutions are planned, developed, deployed, and maintained in accordance with the Department of Children and Familys security policies and business requirements. A strong communication with different stakeholders both verbally and written are necessary for success. Varieties of tasks are performed daily, including the database administration for SQL application databases and security assignments. Some knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server management tools such as Management Studio may be needed. This position does require a degree of creativity with some latitude provided to produce solutions where needed. Experience with enterprise class applications with mission critical functionality which contain sensitiveand or regulatory information such as IRS Pub 1075 and PII is highly recommended. Experience with meeting government regulations on security, data encryption as defined by the regulations is recommended. Candidates that have ERWin Data Model knowledge,Informatica Source and Target management are a plus. Recommended skills, abilities, and certifications: Certified as an Oracle DBA is preferred.
