If so, we would like to talk to you! Our client is using FAST Search in SharePoint 2010 and is also evaluating new Search options. We are looking for a hands-on SharePoint FAST Search Developer to support the current environment and help with the full life cycle planning for transition to the new Search environment. Needed experience: Understanding of SharePoint 2013 Search highly desirable and understanding of SharePoint 2016 features a strong plus. Experience working with other Enterprise Search tools will be helpful. As a Search Developer you will develop and implement solutions, maintain and support existing solutions, support testers and work with moving to a new Search environment. Experience with Analytics tools in SharePoint such as Omniture or Google will be a plus. Provides design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy. Develops enterprise level SharePoint application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features. Provides expertise regarding the integration of SharePoint applications across the business. Determines specifications, then plans, designs, and develops the most complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processeseither individually or in concert with project team. Will assist in the most difficult support problems. Develops programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse. Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs. Understands and consistently applies the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies. Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business. SharePoint Technical knowledge includes: Must have solid technical skills and experience in providing services around Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, Windows SharePoint Services, Web development tools, object-oriented programming languages and techniques, database design and optimization tools and leading operating system and network platforms. Specifically, must be proficient in using XML and HTML, Active Server Pages, JavaScript, CAML, VBScript, JavaScript, Query, Web content management and publishing systems, MS .NET architecture, MS Visual Studio, MS Office suite including MS Project, and MS Access and SQL/Server environments. Must be skillful with: Windows OS configuration and management; network and Web security technologies. Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Experience: Typically has 6 to 9 years of experience in multiple IT areas.
