Primary job functions include: • Participate in 24/7 application production support • Perform analysis on system issues to identify root cause and alternative solutions • Perform analysis to identify system impacts and estimate development effort • Formulate technical solutions to meet business requirements • Develop technical designs, detail designs and other project documents • Program modules, perform unit and integration testing and support system testing efforts • Monitor and report project status, issues and risks • Provide technical consulting support on projects and production system issues • Collaborate with external teams like network, infrastructure and security Qualifications Five years experience in developing, implementing and supporting business applications. Experience in the following is required: • .Net, C# • Relational Databases (Oracle RAC Environment – Strong SQL coding) • Windows batch scripts, Windows XP utilities, client application installations on a Windows platform and familiarity with Windows Services • In depth knowledge of information technologies and methodologies in distributed computing environments is essential • Experience in all stages of Software Development Life Cycle • Strong problem solving, analytical and technical skills • Ability to quickly acquire and utilize new business knowledge and technical knowledge of distributed architectures and third party business product implementation • Production Systems Operations and Production Support Experience in the following is desirable: • Web Services, XML, Service Oriented Architecture • BEA Web Service Development Platform (i.e. BEA Weblogic Server, Weblogic Integration, Aqualogic Service Bus and EMF) • ITRON MV90, Meter Data Management Systems, Data Collection Engine, and BEA Web Logic Server • Experience in the Utility industry or in a production/service environment similar to Utility • Competency in working with large clustered UNIX environments • UNIX shell scripts and trouble shooting with UNIX commands and log files   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
