Assignments can be long-term projects or short-term maintenance tasks that may require upfront business analysis, as well as, post-implementation production support Essential Functions: Should have a strong understanding of Oracle PL/SQL and how the database interacts with GUI interface software (especially VB .Net). Business user interaction skills, as well as, development team skills. Ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent tasks (including on-call support rotation duties). Solid understanding of common business software and common business platforms. A good understanding of Tidal batch-job scheduling, source code control, work order ticketing, and UNIX scripting is considered a plus. Tasks Performed: Handles a variety of Oracle database programming tasks such as stored procedure, package, and trigger PL/SQL programming. Handles longer term project tasks such as data modeling, design, development, project status tracking, testing, and implementation. Involved with frontend and user support work and interaction with systems operations team for error resolution. May act in a lead role coordinating efforts and peer code review of other Database Developers. Other duties as assigned. College Degree or equivalent in experience is required Desired Degree: BA, BS, or BBA (preferably MIS major) Desired Job Experience: Three or more years experience as an Oracle Database Developer is required – should be more than non senior position and must have worked with at least version 9i. Previous experience in the mortgage industry preferred. Experience in a specific computer language preferred or required.
