Job Description Developer: Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, PL/SQL,

Job Requirements:

Experience: 4+ years of related experience; Retail industry a plus.



Responsibilities:

· Develops or modifies procedures to solve complex problems

· Analyzes and estimates feasibility, time and compatibility with other programs and applications

· Provides production support

· Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and time tables for developing programs

· Designs and codes screen layouts, printed outputs and interfaces with other systems

· Converts designs and specifications into computer code

· Analyzes code to find causes or errors and revises programs

· Consults with Project Manager, Business Analyst and/or key users to prototype, refine and test programs to meet needs

· Tunes poor performing code

· Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems or questions about programs

· Prepares detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written

· Providing technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems or questions about programs.

· Writes and maintains technical specifications

· Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections

· Supports production systems on an “on call” rotation basis for a week at a time

· Analyze help desk development support tickets

· Partners with other IT groups (DBA/UNIX Admin) to identify system improvements that increase efficiencies

· Consults with management to maintain acceptable automation results so as to ensure proper production timings and timely availability of the production systems for the users
