The FSBA will be leveraged to identify and design business interoperability opportunities between administrative systems, to enable the interconnection of business processes and data of different services across the institution. The Financial Systems Business Analyst t will be a change agent for the University, helping to lead the development of various systems with emergent designs and integrated solutions. The FSBA is expected to produce high-quality deliverables with minimal guidance. The successful candidate will be able to translate data outputs into strategic tools for senior campus decision makers. Additionally, it is expected that the technical documentation deliverables will be comprehensive yet succinct and will be leveraged by technical development teams in their respective work. 1. The Financial System Business Analyst will lead the redesign of business processes and workflow, reporting into the Project Director of the Financial System Implementation Project who is responsible for leading the project for the University. 2. The FSBA will perform research and discovery within the business service domain to learn industry best practices, activity drivers, emerging opportunities and the core value proposition. FSBA will provide recommendations to senior leadership, identifying opportunities to reimagine current business practice in order to improve service delivery. 3. The FSBA will leverage change management concepts, as it relates to both transformational initiatives and transitional initiatives, in partnership with program management functions. Business Architect will ensure their approach is in alignment with the specific change needs of the individual initiatives, while maintaining cohesion across the initiatives. 4. Analyzing current business processes, recommending improvements, and developing the business and functional requirements needed to ensure that the existing technology solution is optimized for service delivery and reporting. 5. Contribute to continuous learning efforts by collaborating with campus business analysts, project managers, and technical resources to develop templates, standards, and best practices. Key Responsibilities 1. The Financial Systems Business Analyst works with the service provider to identify opportunities for improvement(s) in systems, applications and/or business processes. The FSBA will be responsible for working with stakeholders to discover and create documentation on existing processes and relationships to support improvement initiatives. 2. Leads facilitation sessions to map processes, value streams, and activities to achieve project goals. 3. Document and publish detailed workflows, processes, standards and procedures relevant to operations, and in support of identifying best practices and lessons learned. 4. The FSBA documents functional and non-functional requirements of the systems, applications and/or business processes. 5. The FSBA documents reporting requirements to meet the needs of the business. 6. The FSBA tracks changes to documented requirements over the life of an implementation, producing final as-built documentation upon completion. 7. The FSBA may collaborate with system analysts and technical training functions to transfer system/application knowledge in support of their training development. 8. The FSBA interacts with system architects and developers to ensure the systems, applications and/or business processes is/are properly implemented. 9.
