Job Description Developer: EDI Applications, Shell Scripting, Oracle, Java .NET Network Protocols DBMS System

Developer IV -- EDI TFAL (1) -- Sr. Developer applying specialized knowledge in the accomplishment of the work

Qualifications:
Five (5) years or more experience of designing, architecting, engineering and delivering implementation of medium to large applications.
Five (5) years or more experience with EDI solutions/applications developer tools/adapters (.e.g. MAPIR, BizTalk, Edifecs, C, C#, C++, XML, UNIX (HPUX, AIX, Linux, Solaris), Shell Scripting, (C-Shell, Java Script), Java, .NET and JEE API, Oracle PL/SQL) are required.
Five (5) years or more experience using Modern Source Code Management Tools (VCTL/SCCS) (e.g. Network Protocols (SSH, SFTP), File Transfers (Filezilla), Terminal Emulation (Putty, Teraterm), Job Scheduling (AutoSys), DBMS databases (SQL Server & Oracle)) are required.
Solid understanding of Testing tools (e.g. Corticon Business Rules Management System, Oracle Business Process Management Tool set, Service Oriented Architecture (Oracle, Other).
Three (3) years or more experience with CMS, Medicaid, Federal and State Healthcare Government, or healthcare subject matter expertise preferred.
Work closely with State project teams providing them with Provider sub system expertise needed for particular projects.
Solid understanding of the System Development Life-Cycle (SDLC).
Knowledge of software applications, database management systems, and other business related technologies preferred.
Bachelors Degree in a business or computer-related field preferred.
Specific Skills/Special Functions:
EDI Technical Lead developer for the MMIS Development Project and responsibility for and oversee the work being done by the EDI development team.
Provide business expertise for the development and implementation of Medicaid MMIS systems within the EDI functional area.
Advanced ability to work with Web-development tools for new applications.
Advanced understanding of RDBMS databases such SQL Server and Oracle.
Advanced understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., OO).
Experience on multiple full release project life cycles. Advanced understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).
Advanced understanding of testing tools and unit test and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies.
Advanced experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio) and development of tool add-ins. Strong understanding of basic Database Administration.
Able to define quality and security standards. Good verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
General project management/team leader skills. Ability to work effectively in a globally dispersed team and with clients and vendors.
Demonstrated technical leadership skills.
