This team operates under monthly release schedule and will also assist on enhancements and eliminating vulnerabilities. Our client is seeking an Oracle Applications DBA to help them out on an Oracle E-business suite upgrade project and Oracle Database upgrades. The DBA will be involved in Oracle E-business suite upgrade to the latest version. Well versed with all aspects of E-business suite administration. The Database Administrator will provide leadership in database design, creation, tuning, implementation, and support of the multiple Oracle databases. Apply required patches in a timely fashion, reviews major database additions or updates from the application team, maintains a disaster recovery environment that meets or exceeds the Recovery Time Objective, creates database backups, and generates clones for the test environments. Developing database management policies and standards; providing senior-level consulting services in the identification and resolution of database issues coming out of the project; serving as a high-level resource on database management issues, and participating in the planning, design, and usage of data resources. Qualifications: Expert in Oracle E-business Suite Applications administration Experience with Data Guard and partitioning Expert in RMAN backups and clone procedures Knowledge on Weblogic server administration Knowledge in shell scripting, and should be able to debug Linux scripts. Experience with installation, patching, and administration of Oracle E-Business Suite Applications R12. Develops standards and automation of database deployments which includes DDL, DML, and PL/SQL. Documents standards for and implements database monitoring and alert notifications. Designs, tests, and implements database schema with high availability, load balancing, and security capabilities on Oracle. Installs, configures, patches and upgrades databases and binaries. SQL, SQL*Plus and PL/SQL development in the areas of data loading, data migration and validation. Provides backup and disaster recovery standard operating procedures for the database. Nice to Have: Oracle Fusion middleware administration. OBIEE administration. Oracle Web Center Portal administration.
