We also have been provided some rate flex ability to go up from $85.00/hour to $100.00/hour for the right caliber resource Description : PeopleSoft Consultant The University of California has deployed a common HR/Core and Payroll system for roughly 15,000 of UCs nearly 200,000 employees and is preparing to bring the remaining employees live on the shared system in waves through 2019. The UCPath Center (UCPC) is the systems service center and has launched various initiatives to streamline operations. In initiating these activities, this position has been created to help fulfill the mission. This position is expected to work as a part of the UCPath Centers Quality Team, helping to identify, design & test various PeopleSoft HCM modifications to help improve Production operations. KEY FOCUS POINTS FOR POSITION: · This Team is ideally looking for someone who has improved PeopleSoft business processes by “Reducing Complexities” · This resource will be responsible for “Production Support” efforts · This resource must have working experience with PS HCM 9.* (Any version of 9 will be accepted) · This resource must have module experience with one of the following Payroll, Benefits or WFA, preferably all three. Responsibilities: This resource will be asked to own the following key tasks as it relates to this initiative. Work with Production Operation resources to gather requirements and perform Production Support Identify short term “gaps” that can be met PeopleSoft modification Design modifications Prepare test plans for development Deploy & maintain developed tools Qualifications: The responsibilities described above are the essential functions of the job. The qualifications below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Expert in PeopleSoft HCM Functional Modules is needed (WFA, PY, BN, CA) 5+ years of hands on experience with PeopleSoft HCM Expertise in writing ad-hoc queries using PS Query and SQL Proficient in MS Office tools Should be able to perform successfully as a team player in a team setting by aligning to the overall priorities of the project and direction from leads. Strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and facilitation skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with variety of people to accomplish goals and support others. Should be proactive in completing the job assigned with little direction and be adaptable to changing job requirements.
