Jir Start Date : 05/29/2017 End Date : 05/08/2017 Submission Dead Line : 05/11/2017 Description : Job Description: Reporting to the UCPath PMO Manager, and under the direction of the UCPath Technical Program Manager, the PMO Technical Analyst will assist with managing and tracking technical projects having a defined beginning and end. The incumbent will also manage the UCPath project framework processes and methodologies involving departmental or cross-functional teams. The PMO Technical Analyst plans, coordinates and monitors scope, requirements, schedules, resources, tasks, risks, issues, staff and deliverables. In addition the incumbent monitors their projects from initiation through completion organizing and leading activities related to the management and completion of their projects. The PMO Technical Analyst is a technical leader with a working knowledge in PeopleSoft implementations and areas like; PeopleSoft application upgrades, environments, tools and standard infrastructure. The problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure. The incumbent may manage projects that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; and may function with a high degree of autonomy. Job Responsibilities: Applies advanced technical project management concepts with a full understanding of project management practices and IT policies and procedures to manage complex projects. Provides analysis for highly complex, project-related issues. Implements the UCPath project management process for the campus, medical center or Office of the Presidents UCPath products and services involving diverse departmental or cross-functional teams. The incumbent initiates, designs and leads project proposals and reports. Has overall project management responsibility. May lead a team of technical management professionals. Assembles and directs project teams, develops detailed project plans and schedules and monitors timeline and resources. Directs project activities with the goal of completing the project on schedule and within resource and scope constraints. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. Oversees the project from initiation through delivery including system integration, project and campus, medical center or Office of the President communications, interaction with vendors and managing risk. Requirements: Working knowledge and experience of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM 9.nn), PeopleTools (8.55). Experience working with external support organizations and vendors such as IT leads and mangers, and OMCS (Oracle Managed Cloud Services). Good knowledge of logging and tracking Service Requests and Requests for Change with vendors like OMCS. Led and/or managed infrastructure implementations and upgrades as well as standing up environments, including experience with Managed File Transfer, Batch Processing and Workload Automation. Working knowledge and understanding of infrastructure components and software like Linux/Unix Operating systems, Oracle databases, etc. Experience with project management of issues, risks and schedules using JIRA, SharePoint and Microsoft Project. Experience: Previous experience in Higher Education preferred.
