PMP PMI VITA Project Manager Certifications Manager (Jobs in Petersburg, VA)   Requirement id 140633 Job title Manager Job location in Petersburg, VA Skills required PMP, PMI, Project Management Experience, VITA Project Manager Certifications Open Date 04-May-2023 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 7 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type --- Apply    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Manager: PMP, PMI, Project Management Experience, VITA Project Manager Certifications start date : 05/10/2023 End date : 11/10/2023 submission deadline : 5/9/2023 client info : VSU Note : * Hybrid Description : Project Management responsibilities include; • Manage all aspects of complex, large-scale, high-priority projects throughout the project lifecycle to ensure it is completed on time, within scope, and within budget • Define, document, and manage project scope, schedule, and budget • Develop, maintain, and distribute standard project management artifacts (i.e., WBS, risk assessments, project charter, RACIs, communication plan, MS schedule, status reports, etc.) • Ensure applicable project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately • Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule throughout the project lifecycle • Align project deliverables and milestones with projects strategy and objectives • Facilitate project meetings, create and distribute meeting notes • Manage project within the VITA PMO framework, process, and structure • Manage projects within procurement and project management governance processes as directed by the Project Management Office and VITA. • Keep leadership and key stakeholders informed of issues that may impact project completion, budget, or results • Facilitate project conference calls, status meetings, and planning sessions, and provide meeting notes • Be a consultant to customers and communicate project status throughout the project lifecycle • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues • Manage project resources, overseeing day-to-day task execution • Utilizing system-based project management applications; Microsoft Project, MS Office, Planview, SharePoint, Teams, etc. • Aligning TS special projects with a TS and Enterprise mission and objectives • Collaborating with managers regarding special project planning and execution • Reviewing project portfolios to ensure they abide by strategic decisions and the companys The Project Manager should have the following skills; • 5-10 plus years of direct hands-on technical Project Management experience, preferably having managed Virginia state-level technology projects. • Project Schedule development experience along with 3rd party vendor schedule integration • Experience developing and documenting both technical and business requirements • Budget, scope, and risk/issue management experience • Project Management leadership experience of cross-functional matrixed teams • 3rd party vendor management experience • Procurement experience, preferably associated with a Virginia state technology project • Knowledge of Quality Assurance (e.g., Test Plans, Test Scripts) and best practices • Knowledge of varied technologies and security, Infrastructure, Cloud-Computing, and Data Management best practices are a plus • Strong business, technical and analytical skills • Attention to detail and logical thinking • Ability to facilitate technical project meetings and translate the outcome into project schedules • Ability to oversee and track progress, translating outcomes into management briefings and weekly status reports • Clear, concise, and diplomatic written/verbal communication skills across all levels • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, and customer service skills • Self-motivated team player, able to work cooperatively in a team environment • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines when required • Effectively manage and solve complex business and technical problems • Aptitude for learning new technologies, applications, and business processes • College degr   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
