The ideal candidate would be proficient in systems management and application deployment automation through authoring and maintenance of Python, Perl, and shell scripting as well as experience implementing and maintaining enterprise configuration management solutions such as Chef. -This position is also responsible for planning and executing small-to-medium scale projects within the Technical Operations team. Typical projects would include new business unit initiatives and updates to existing products and services that require planning, incredible attention to detail, and flawless execution. Basic Qualifications 3 to 5 years of experience supporting and/or deploying internet-based products or services Intermediate to advance shell scripting skills Intermediate skills in Perl, Python or other programming languages Detailed knowledge of core internet and networking protocols including, but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP Exposure to configuration management frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, CFEngine Experience with enterprise layer 7 load balancers including F5 or Netscaler Expertise in configuration and management of one or more enterprise operating systems Experience in configuring, deploying, and supporting web server platforms including but not limited to Apache Traffic Server, Couchbase/Memcached, Tomcat, Apache, PHP, Zend. Preferred Qualifications 3 to 5 years of experience supporting and/or deploying internet-based products or services Advanced shell scripting skills Intermediate to advanced Python, Ruby, and or JAVA programming skills Experience with web application development platforms, tools and utilities including JSP, ASP, PHP, JavaScript, and Flash. Proficiency in authoring and managing configuration management frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, CFEngine Expertise managing and configuring multiple enterprise Operating Systems including Microsoft Windows and Linux Experience managing site content and configuration via CDN providers such as Akamai, Limelight, Level 3 and others Experiencing managing multiple hosting environments including public and private cloud solutions.
