The incumbent will be responsible for the initial triage of security alerts and escalating to incident response personnel as appropriate. In addition, the applicant will be responsible for tuning the event correlation engine as well as working with architecture to identify new technologies which will either extend coverage of existing solutions or reduce risk to our critical data systems Essential Duties and Responsibilities Minimize the dwell time of security incidents by monitoring, triaging, and responding as appropriate to security event correlation while maintaining thorough incident documentation in the case management system Develop incident alerting use cases by applying the latest threat information to log correlation mechanisms by collecting threat intelligence information Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to reflect day-to-day security operations Create innovative in-house control capabilities to assist in the automation of existing security operations functions Qualifications Bachelors (preferred) degree in computer science, information technology, or related field 4-7 years information security experience Strong technical knowledge in security event and incident management systems, intrusion detection/prevention platforms, net flows, and data loss prevention technologies Deep technical knowledge with modern infrastructure and application architectures, their development challenges, their control configurations, and their inherent security strengths and weaknesses Solid experience in scripting languages such as (or similar to) Python, PERL, and Ruby with a strong desire to apply this experience to the automation of security operations Knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., mobile, cloud, etc.) Knowledge of existing and emerging threat landscapes unique to retail banking Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent documentation skills Excellent multi-tasking skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
