The ideal candidate is innovative, self-sufficient with an independent working style. The SW Developer will interface with program management, marketing, the technical stakeholders within Technical Marketing as well as the field support teams. Responsibilities: * Develops (from scratch) a cloud-hosted presales/SA tool that allows our field to assess customer backup environments. The tool produces a variety of outputs (e.g. assessment report, workshop slide deck) and has a compelling GUI * Architectural guidance and oversight will be provided by TME experts. The developer needs to have an independent work style that does not require daily guidance and a clear understanding of how such a tool will be used in the sales process * Provide 3rd level support for the developed product * Creation of support material (documentation, training) to allow level 1 and 2 support for the application Bachelor s degree or proven experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent with a focus on application development and the backup/recovery space * Minimum 6 years industry experience * Experience (ideally in a customer facing or consulting role) on backup software (e.g. NetBackup, DataProtector, etc.) is a must Required Programming Knowledge: * Unix/Linux php or perl (php preferred) (25%) * Microsoft Windows C# (75%) * Multi-year experience in application software development * Consulting background on BURA opportunities (focus on implementation and assessments) a plus Baseline Skills: * Ability to communicate to technical community as well as program management * Time management skills and attitude to deliver on-time at highest possible quality * Expertise in the Backup/Recovery space (see below) * Self-motivated and ability to work independently; High degree of self-motivation * Awareness and understanding of the cultural attributes of diverse teams, customers and ability to work in a worldwide team * Ability to research aspects not already familiar with already (e.g. additional backup software products) * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Fluent English language * Ability to spin up test equipment (HW provided) for QA testing   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
