Expectations/Requirements: Experience working with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation BS Degree in Computer Science or applicable programming area of study 5-8 years of experience with PL/SQL concepts with more attention to supporting Data Migration projects, setting up data migrations from one system to another using PL/SQL and SQL scripting. BS Degree in Computer Science or applicable programming area of study Work experience with any of the following – Linus/UNIX/Solaris/AIX; Shell programming/PERL, Groovy Multiple project working experience with ER/Studio and TOAD Strong knowledge of Oracle and UNIX Knowledge and understanding of key technologies needed to support high-availability and redundant infrastructure Strong understanding of joins, data types, user objects, indexing, partitioning and other concepts extremely well and should have applied them to work thereby providing drastic performance improvements. Should be able to easily map the Oracle/PL-SQL functionality for data migrations. Should understand normalization and de-normalization of data. Ability to tune or suggest better methodologies for refactoring existing code. Ability to coordinate with other members or signs of leadership. Ability to propose new solutions for obstacles faced in development. Should have written secure code in previous projects Should have pretty good knowledge/know-how of financial domain or be able to show prospects of learning the same.
