The Office is migrating to online training, and is seeking an eLearning Developer to work with subject matter experts in the Connecticut State Building and Fire Codes. The content is technical and dry, and OEDM is looking for an individual with the demonstrated ability to make eLearning modules that are content rich, interactive and interesting. Critical thinking assessments (five questions per one-hour module) will be included in each module. Because this is a first-time venture for OEDM, online training development is new to its subject matter experts; a large part of the process will be teaching the content specialists how to work with an eLearning Developer. The eLearning Developer will ensure that best practices and quality standards are implemented for curriculum development and delivery of all online modules. Bachelors degree in instructional design, instructional technology, curriculum development or related field preferred. Minimum of three years experience in online curriculum development and delivery for adult learners. Telecommuting negotiable. Ability to use Articulate, Captivate, Photoshop and PowerPoint, and skills in multimedia and graphic design to create SCORM files. Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
