This role requires proficiency in graphic design software (i.e. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop) in order to design website layouts, prepare images/documents for posting, as well as proficiency in html/css/javascript. Proficiency in WordPress is required. This position will deal directly with internal clients. Good communication skills and the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner are a must. Typical Core Duties: 1. Website Development and Maintenance ? Support and maintain agencys internal and external websites and web applications. ? Design and develop websites within VDH Web Team guidelines. ? Apply graphic design skills to create attractive visuals. ? Utilize agency-specified applications to create web ready graphics. ? Design web forms. ? Design websites to improve functionality; confirm integration with other systems; install and test content. ? Update and maintain time-sensitive material. ? Obtain copyright clearances where required. ? Deliver web pages to client/user as requested; disposes of outdated information/files; discusses obvious content errors with clients and corrects as necessary; recommends changes in editorial policy and site design. ? Revise content to ensure its quality, including accuracy, authority, clarity, accessibility and usability. ? Perform analysis, design, development and testing of usable, accessible web applications. ? Identify multimedia content needed to support or work alongside textual content. Coordinates with multimedia specialists as necessary. ? Ensure quality, compliance, usability, accessibility, copyright and other legal compliance. Compiles and analyzes website usage statistics. 2. Customer Service ? Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions regarding collaboration platform systems. ? Provides technical leadership and training to customers and partners. ? Develop strong client relationships and demonstrate a high level of commitment to client success. Position works with a high degree of independence. Seeks guidance from supervisor for politically sensitive, legal or controversial matters as well as technical/design issues. N/A ? Graduate from an accredited College or University with a degree in Communication Arts or related field preferred and/or equivalent WordPress/Website Design training and experience. ? Detail-oriented with extensive knowledge of WordPress, Photoshop, CSS. ? Experience creating forums, lists, document libraries, and forms. ? Demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into an accessible website layout. ? Experience with web site design and development. ? Experience with project management. ? Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers regarding guidance and troubleshooting; provide assistance and guidance on development projects; understand policies; and use professional judgment and discretion. ? Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to diverse audiences, foster relationships at all levels; team members, partners, management, vendors, and both internal and external customers. ?
