There is an ETL process that sits on a web server that utilizes SQL Server Integration Services that needs relocated and upgraded as well. The existing environment utilizes SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), that must be reinstalled and configured on the new server as well. (there are only 3 users with access to SSRS) There are existing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages along with a powershell script that sorts ETL data that will need to be relocated from a web server and the SSIS packages converted to run under SQL 2017. There is also an existing .net application on the web server that we wish to move to the database server and run locally on it. (we are relocating the file transfer off the web server and will stage the import files on the database server) Work with Office of the State Board of Education (OSBE) staff to test ETL and SSRS. Configure Microsoft Visual Studio on OSBE computer and walk staff through the SSIS packages to ensure we can make any changes to them going forward. Agency Expected Deliverables Move virtual SQL 2008R2 instance (multiple databases) to a physical SQL 2008R2 server (on a different domain) Move SSRS and SSIS to new server Upgrade everything to SQL 2017 Convert .net application to run locally on the SQL server Configure Visual Studio on OSBE computer to maintain SSIS packages Test and verify that ETL process is functioning Verify SSRS is working properly. Our goal is to have this completed by June 30, 2018. The physical server is dedicated to this project, we have full admin access to that server to make any necessary changes. Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2008R2 BIDS SSIS SSRS SSAS and experience migrating to SQL Server 2017. Also .NET and powershell will be necessary. The information in the databases is confidential, a non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement will need to be signed by anyone that is granted access. Our preference is the work is done onsite (via remote desktop).
