Background In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated learning loss in schools due to disruptions in learning, the Tennessee General Assembly passed the Tennessee Learning Loss Remediation and Student Acceleration Act during a special session in 2021. This act provided for school district to engage students who meet certain criteria in summer programs to assist with learning loss that may have occurred. As part of the reporting requirements for this act, the Department will need to provide a tool/means for the districts to report student, teacher, attendance and assessment information for these summer programs only. 2. Acronyms/Definitions a. Microsoft Power Apps - Power Apps is a suite of apps, services, connectors and data platform that provides a rapid application development environment to build custom apps. 3.
