This position has (3) primary functions: 1) IT Procurement and IT Asset Management Tracking - Involved with the development of bids and contracts with limited authority to make decisions relative to the actual vendor award or to take action when problems with a given contract occur; - Develop and award simplified bids independently; gather supportive information used in the bidding process; work with selected vendors in assuring that the tenets of the established contracts are followed; solicit verbal and written quotes, price lists, and catalogs; and receive delivery of orders and approve invoices. - Work is performed under close, progressing to limited, supervision: work with ETF business areas and BITS management to understand business needs and ensure the correct hardware and software are purchased. - Coordinate IT asset management (including transfer to DET through ETFIR), tracking, inventory and disposal of assets - Conduct procurement of IT hardware and software to ensure timely renewals for ETF in coordination with Procurement and following State and departmental procurement guidelines, purchase hardware and software as requested by BITS management and team leads. - Research IT software and hardware product offerings, licensing models and acquire quotes from resellers or vendors as needed. - Work with vendors, Procurement, and SAMS to ensure timely and correct delivery of purchases. - Track licensing and warranties and support agreements for all software. 2) Coordinate BITS Budget Development and Tracking - Produce IT billing reports direct from STAR (including mainframe billing) saving application developers time previously spent on extracts. - Track BITS budget forecast to actual spend and develop trends and reports to assist CIO with budget management throughout the fiscal year. - Work with ETF Accounts Payable and budget to ensure requisitions are processed and paid for IT purchases 3) IT Continuity of Operations (COOP) - Coordinate BITS response plan with the ETF COOP team. - Collaborate with BITS leadership and solicit input from all areas of BITS to ensure BITS business processes/functions, BITS leads and RTOs are identified and documented in the DOA Sustainable Planner to ensure critical business functions are operational as soon as possible in the event of an outage.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
