Serves as highest advanced-level subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance for professional staff. May also serve in a lead role. 1. Monitoring & Observability: o Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring solutions using Dynatrace. o Enable end-to-end visibility across infrastructure, systems, and applications. o Develop dashboards, alerts, and health checks to ensure system health and reliability. o Monitor service performance and availability and set alert thresholds to minimize false positives. 2. Infrastructure Systems Monitoring: o Monitor Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). o Support monitoring of databases, middleware, and network components. o Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to identify trends and capacity needs. o Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact production. 3. Application Monitoring: o Use Dynatrace to monitor application performance and transaction flows. o Support synthetic monitoring and real user monitoring. o Work closely with application teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage. o Assist in troubleshooting performance issues at both the application and system level. 4. Incident Support: o Participate in incident response efforts related to performance and availability. o Provide monitoring insights during troubleshooting and root cause analysis. o Identify and close monitoring gaps. 5. Continuous Improvement: o Enhance monitoring standards and documentation. o Recommend improvements to monitoring configurations and alert strategies. o Support integration of monitoring tools with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms. Requirements: • Education: Bachelors degree in information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. • Experience: o 5+ years in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or monitoring roles. o 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace or similar APM tools. • Technical Skills: o Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualized environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). o Basic networking understanding (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing). o Experience with scripting or automation tools like PowerShell or Bash (preferred). o Familiarity with Kubernetes or container monitoring. o Experience with ITIL practices and regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services). • Soft Skills: o Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. o Effective communication and collaboration across teams. o Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
