Will utilize WebEx/Skype if necessary This team is in need for a someone strong in SQL and R. Specifically, related data over in the sales and forecasting area at Caterpillar needs support in structuring data in SQL and in enabling statistical outputs in R. The data is forecasting shipment, inventory, etc data that needs to be manipulated into various assessments outputs such as forecast accuracy and other topics. The team currently has a supervisor over this effort but will need a full time expert that is mid to senior level on the data and calculations side of things . Ultimately they need to make faster progress in the structuring and delivery of their needs. Top Three Skills: 1. 4+ years experience structuring data in SQL, and using SQL queries to pull out data. 2. 4+ years experience enabling statistical outputs and programming in R 3. 4+ years experience in predictive analysis for forecasting data. Work Environment: Typical Hours: 8am-5pm Casual Dress Team Environment Non-Technical Skills: -Works well in a group setting. This team is very tight knit and they need to be able to easily get along with various team members. -Strong communication skills to be able to interact with various points of contact across business units/groups they support. -Most communication will be internal among business units that this team supports. These internals are typically part of order management, support management and forecasting management teams.
