We have a 24-month project with our client in Rensselaer, NY that requires a Senior Software Analyst Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Work with OCFS staff to document the requirements for the system. Facilitate meetings with OCFS staff. Create detailed screen mock-ups to document the UI and user interface. Write detailed use cases and business flows. Work in coordination with a team of developers to implement the requirements. Perform unit testing and document all defects. Work with business customers to ascertain appropriate help, training, and executive reporting requirements as needed. The individual in this position will work under the direction of a Lead/Project Manager. Mandatory Qualifications: Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability. 60-84-Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education. Preferred Qualifications: 60 months experience facilitating meeting with users to identify & gather business requirements. 60 months experience documenting functional requirement, business rules & complex security requirements. 48 months experience in writing test plans & cases and performing unit & regression testing. 48 months SQL coding experience for writing SQL data queries for extraction and/or validation of application data. 12 months experience with SharePoint for writing and maintaining team/project documentation.
