You will be responsible for all stages of the project life cycle including: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling and closing. You will set clear and attainable project objectives for your project team and lead the direction of the team to ultimately deliver to the expectations of the project vision. The Senior Project Manager is expected to be familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This may require in depth knowledge of requirements solicitation, application development, logical and physical database design and networking. Company primarily employs the waterfall model but Senior Project Managers must also be skilled in more lightweight, adaptive methodologies such Agile Scrum. Responsibilities Directly manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works with matrix IT partners to oversee all SDLC phases of a project Manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost and quality parameters Oversees project change management processes and ensures decisions are documented, communicated and followed Chairs weekly project team meeting and represents projects in weekly project review meetings with technology executives, including CIO Defines and tracks project milestones while developing and managing overall project delivery schedule Publishes weekly status reports Manages the project stakeholders and project team Actively manages, monitors and resolves project risks, issues and conflicts Skills and Abilities Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Strong planning, organizational and leadership skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills Strong business judgment, problem solving and negotiating skills Ability to work in a team environment, motivate team members and influence behavior of others Qualifications Six years of previous experience working with technical applications and/or information systems, or equivalent, including four years managing software development projects or equivalent required In-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and automated project planning tools required Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred Experience managing cross border teams preferred Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products including MS Project preferred Experience with Quickbase preferred   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
