The Senior Project Manager ensures that the project schedule and budget established by the CJIS Governing Board and CJIS Executive Director are implemented. The individual who fills this position should have solid project management skills and the ability to foster and ensure cooperation and coordination among the various justice partners and Information Services (IS) organizations within the state and local agencies. The Senior Project Manager must effectively balance: * Strong leadership skills and experience managing large complex multi-year projects * Management of the project schedule and budget within the guidelines and policies of the CJIS Governing Board * Establishment and affirmation of relationships between organizations. * Strong knowledge of IBM Rational Jazz * Public sector experience * This focus requires the capability to build trust and nurture relationships with CJIS partners and the project delivery team while maintaining the projects momentum and progress. PROJECT MANAGER 3 Specific Services Required * Must have at least 3 years of experience in managing multi-million dollar, multi-year projects. * Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification * Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Technology or Business Administration. * Good public speaking skills * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project Required Skills/Experience The individual who fills this position should have solid technical skills and the ability to foster cooperation and coordination among the various technical partners and organizations within the state, local agencies and between the prime vendor, Conduent (Xerox) and its partners. The desirable skills are: * Overseeing the coordination and delivery of all project management activities and deliverables * Being knowledgeable on all facets of System Development Methodology (SDM) and assisting the CISS delivery team with SDM compliance for CJIS activities * Creating and executing project work plans and revising them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. * Identifying resources required to meet the project schedule and assigning individual responsibilities * Ensuring deliverables prepared by the team are complete and accurate prior to releasing them to the user community * Overseeing development and execution of the system and user test plans, and assisting in the coordination of the user acceptance testing * Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately * Effectively enforcing project standards * Developing mitigation strategies to minimize exposure and risk on the project * Providing regular reports on the health of the project, including performance against the budget, adherence to the project schedule, and performance of individual team members * Creating and managing the project notebook or Web site containing all of the current and historical project documents and the current status of the project * Presenting the project status as required by the Executive Director or Program Manager   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
